Today the OOPS A netball team played against St Thomas. It was a great game and we all showed amazing sportsmanship. In the end OOPS finished off with a score of 27 while St Thomas was 10. Well done to everyone who participated and played their best! Thanks to Michelle Chen for being a fantastic coach!
Congratulations to our Year 5/6 football team who today played in the final. It was a great game where both teams played really well. OOPS came out runners up after a fierce contest. Thanks to James S for coaching, Pip for being goal umpire and all the parents who came along to support.
This week Sports Academy students were visited by professional basketball players Cassidy and Megan. Both Cassidy and Megan are from America and have been playing professional basketball across the world for the last 6 years. They are currently playing with Nunawading Spectres.
Cassidy and Megan talked to both Sports Academy groups about their experience playing basketball professionally and their journey with basketball. Students were then given a basketball coaching session.
Cassidy and Megan will be back next week for another coaching session with the students. Nunawading Spectres will be running a whole school basketball clinic in term 4.
