Around The School
The preps had a bucket challenge today to see which team could fill up their bucket the quickest. Each team were given different sized containers which led us to great discussions about capacity.
The sun came out for us today, as the Year 3/4 team enjoyed a day at the Melbourne Museum! We collected 'seeds' for our Writer's Notebooks and learnt about a diverse range of topics that linked to the 3/4 curriculum. Groups explored the following exhibits with enthusiasm and a sense of curiosity:
- Melbourne Story
- Dynamic Earth
- 600 Million Years
- Bugs Alive
- Dinosaur Walk
- Triceratops Exhibition
The students impressed us with their respect to self, others and learning and should feel very proud of representing Old Orchard in such a positive way. We couldn't have run the excursion safely without the help of our wonderful parent/carer community and team of support staff. A huge thank you to Kim, Azadeh, Jodie, Melissa, Alexia, Eugeen, Jennifer, Despina, Betty, Pauline, Jenny, Sam, Meiko and Nicola.

Our Year 3's had fun in the kitchen again this week making delicious potato and rosemary pizzas. Ollie from 3LM said they were "amaaaaazing"!
