Lot's Happening @ Salvado Catholic College . . .

Dear Parents and Carers

It has been a very wet couple of weeks, but that has not dampened our students and staff who have continued to participate in many teaching and learning experiences as we have all settled in to Term 3 at Salvado Catholic College.

Congratulations to our Primary Interschool Cross Country Team on your efforts last Thursday. You were all amazing! Read more about their efforts in the Sports @ SCC section. Thank you Mr Loh for preparing the students and to the staff in attendance on the day and all the parents and carers that came along to support our team.

We wish our Drum Group all the best as they participate in the Performing Arts Festival tomorrow (Thursday 4 August) and our Primary Choir on Tuesday 16 August. Thank you Mr Leeder for preparing the students.

You would have all seen the latest eCommunication advertising the Parent Information Session regarding the Child Safe Framework and The KeepingSafe: Child Protection Curriculum is on Wednesday 10 August at 6:00pm in the Covered Assembly Space. The Child Safe Framework sets out best practice for school communities to develop knowledge, mindsets, practice and behaviours that enable and sustain a child safe culture and wellbeing for all students in CEWA schools. Mrs Marissa Munro will once again facilitate this very important and worthwhile session. We look forward to seeing all parents and carers who have not been to a session before, as we continue to work together for the best interests and safety of our children.

We are looking forward to our Book Fair and Open Night and Book Week Dress-Up. Read more about these events as you read through the eNewsletter. We look forward to opening up our Learning Spaces throughout the College on Wednesday 17 August and showcasing to our College community all the wonderful teaching and learning taking place.

Don't forget to order your Disco tickets if in Kindy to Year 6, as FOS and the Disco committee are planning a great afternoon/evening on Friday 19 August.

Looking forward to coming together on Monday 8 August to celebrate the life of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop, Australia's first Saint. Our MacKillop students and staff will be leading us in the Liturgy. More information about the day can be found on the MacKillop Feast Day section. Parents and carers are most welcome to attend the liturgy at 11:45am on this day.

“Never see a need without doing something about it."
