School Disco

Every picture says a thousand words!

An Open Letter to the Parents & Friends

Dear Nat,

On behalf of the BNPS staff, we would like to say thank you to you and your team for your amazing efforts at the disco. Not only on the night, but the massive lead up of organising and preparing and the ongoing communication between the office and the parent community.

The excitement on the Friday was electric. The little Preppies loved wearing their disco clothes to school and all the kids were thoroughly excited and talking about it.

The night itself ran extremely smoothly, and as teachers and ES staff we can appreciate the enormous amount of time and detail to achieve this. From the face paint, glow sticks, icy poles and the organisation for the students to be collected.

After COVID and the impacts on community and special events, we really appreciate our students having these valued experiences which they will remember for a long time to come.

We thank you for you and your team’s huge efforts to run a hugely successful whole school event.

Last Friday our senior students were able to enjoy watching the Victorian AFL team complete against WA with thanks to the livestream of the match.

Our students supported Liam and his Victorian team mates as they played against SA last Friday.

Prep Orientation Day

Thank you to our lovely mums who welcomed our new 2023 prep parents and provided them with a lovely morning tea.

The children were entertained by Pam Collins and the Prep teachers. They enjoyed the story 'The King’s Pudding' and loved singing some songs like 'Going on a Bear Hunt' and 'The Grumpy Giant'. The children were excited to participate in dancing and blowing bubbles! We are really looking forward to seeing the children at our next Prep Transition on Wednesday 14 September.

State AFL Finals

Good luck to both our Girls and Boys AFL teams that will be participating in the State AFL Finals.

The boys played yesterday and played well, wining one game. Well done Team.

The girls are playing today and we will have a report and photos in the next newsletter about both teams.

Thank you sincerely to our Parents' & Friends and School Council for contributing to the bus costs for this very special event.  Both teams needed to travel to Eltham for their matches.

SAT Cruffins Fundraiser

Congratulations to the Student Agency Team with help from Bromley’s Bread to arrange a successful ‘Cruffin Day’ last week. Over 500 cruffins were delivered, raising over $1000. Thank you to all students and staff for their purchases. The SAT will discuss with students as to how these funds will be used to benefit the students.

Thank you to the Bromley family for their generosity in this fundraising event.

The students were so excited lining up to receive their delicious cruffin.

Annual Primary Schools’ Debating Competition Tuesday 23 August

The Annual Primary Schools’ Debating Competition is a fantastic program that helps build connections between local schools whilst developing debating and public speaking skills.

On Friday 12 August, Brighton Secondary College students, along with their teacher, visited our school to help train our BNPS students with their debating topics.

The students were provided with their topics and given support through a coaching session to help develop their debating skills.

The students are all very excited to show their debating and public speaking skills which will be held on  Tuesday 23 August at Brighton Secondary College.

The Beaumaris North Debating Team consists of:

2022 Parent/Caregiver/ Guardian Opinion Survey

Previously known as the Parent Opinion Survey.

ORIMA  Research conducts 3 specific surveys on behalf of the Department of Education.

The surveys are for: Student, Staff Opinion survey, and the Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey.

Each year the school conducts an opinion survey within the school community. A random sample of approximately 30 per cent of parents/caregivers/guardians have been selected to participate in the survey. Results will be used to inform and direct our future school planning and improvement.

If your family has been randomly selected and you have been notified of your inclusion, I  ask you to please take the time to complete the survey as your opinions are important to us and will contribute to the future management and organisation of our school.

  • The survey will be conducted online and should take 20 minutes to complete.
    • The survey can be completed on any internet enabled device (iPad, Desktop or Laptop, Smartphone) and is compatible with most browsers.
  • The survey will be open from Monday 15 August to Friday 16 September
  • The survey is available in English and 10 other languages including Arabic, Vietnamese, Simplified Chinese, Chin (Hakha), Hindi, Japanese, Greek, Turkish, Somali and Punjabi.

When complete, please click on the tick button at the end of the survey to submit your answers. Please note that the survey will time out after 60 minutes of inactivity.

Thank you for taking the time to participate. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Planning for 2023 has now commenced

If your child will not be returning in 2023 could you please notify the Office, as we are planning our class and staffing structure, both of which are determined by student enrolment numbers.
