LA TROBE - WHY STUDY THE BACHELOR OF BIOMEDICAL SCIENCE?

Unique to our regional campuses, our Bachelor of Biomedical Science isn’t just a pathway to medicine.

Students who complete a biomedical science degree at Bendigo or Albury-Wodonga, often go on to work for medical research institutes or government and private sector laboratories in hospitals, universities and pharmaceutical companies. Other employment areas include administration, education, consultancy or patent law.

The degree can also be used as a stepping stone into health professions such as medicine, dentistry and physiotherapy. Students will learn how diseases manifest in the human body, study molecular basis of human disorders such as cancer and infection, analyse and interpret scientific and biomedical data and undertake research to address relevant health questions.

If you have a student who might be interested in a career in biomedical science, have them book a one-on-one consultation with us.
