Students will be predicting, questioning, critiquing, and making connections to a range of texts while building their reading stamina. Students will explore ways to respond to reading, their reading preferences, and will have opportunities to discuss texts in depth.

In Writing, students will identify the text structure and language features of persuasive letters and use this knowledge to create their own persuasive letter. Students will be expressing their ideas and opinions for an intended audience. Students will continue working through the 5 writing stages to plan, draft, revise, edit and publish their work.

In addition to this, students are very excited to continue communicating with their pen pals through letter writing!
