Soirée Benvenuto

The Benvenuto Music Soirée, which had been rescheduled due to adverse weather conditions, was held last Thursday evening, and it was a delightful and entertaining evening which showcased the exceptional talents within our student body.

 

Congratulations to all the students for their wonderful performances:  Emily Colbran (Year 11), Lizzie Nealon-Cook (Year 7), Orlando Holmes (Year 7), Maeve Magner (Year 11), Sophia Huckel (Year 9), William Louis (Year 10), Zara Wigan (Year 12), Aimee Drummond  (Year 12) and the BMGS Rock Band, featuring Finn Brinkman (Year 9), Hunter Costigan (Year 7), Will Louis (Year 10) and Emily Monks (Year 10). 

 

Thank you to our Music Captains Aimee Drummond and Zara Wigan, who compered the evening despite it being in the middle of their examination period.  Thank you also to Mrs Cooney , Ms Downs, Mr Cameron Smith, Miss Cranna and our wonderful audience who are so keen to support a very talented musicians.

Fundraising Concert

St Hilda’s Anglican Church, Katoomba, is hosting a fundraising concert for Garguree Swampcare Bush Tucker Garden, tomorrow, Saturday, 2nd April. The program features the following ensembles:  The Wollemi Quintet which is a Sydney based group pf young musicians  comprising Isabeau Hansen (Flute) Miriam Cooney (Oboe, BMGS Alumnus 2019), Bryn Arnold (Horn), Hayden Burge (Bassoon) and Yasmine Urquhart (Clarinet); The ‘ Threepenny Moon’ cabaret duo, comprising  Martin Dawes (BMGS Brass tutor) and Jocelyn Moan, as well as the final performance of the French Choir of which Madame Bell is a member (former BMGS French Teacher).
