Junior School

This week our Junior School students ran in the Cross Country Carnival. While it did drizzle, and no one remained mud-free, it was a great event and we were thankful it could go ahead!

There were some excellent results from students who pushed themselves hard, and all of those who finished the course were happy to contribute to their House points. We look forward to finding out which House was the overall winner next week!

A reminder that the Springwood Campus will hold Grandparents Day on Thursday, 7th April. The day will include a concert, book fair, open classrooms and a picnic. Students at Springwood have been working on their musical items and ensuring that the work they have been doing is displayed beautifully, ready to show their visitors.

The Wentworth Falls Campus will hold Grandparents Day the following day, on Friday, 8th April. The day will be similar, but will begin with a whole school Easter celebration. Due to the inclement weather, this will be held in the Sports Centre. All students from both Junior School Campuses, and the Senior School students will gather with staff, parents and grandparents to celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus.

After a delicious morning tea, grandparents can then participate in the concert, book fair, open classrooms and picnic at Wentworth Falls.

Our students are continuing with their efforts in classrooms and we had four students receive special awards at assemblies this week. Congratulations to:

  • Emily Hyslop for her Bronze award
  • Angus Magill for his Bronze award
  • Harrison Chalk for his Bronze award
  • Simeon Gee for his Silver award

We also inducted our Year 4 leaders at the Springwood campus this week. We are thankful for the servant-hearted leadership of Robbie Sommerville and Levi Richardson. They are leading the Springwood students well.
