Careers Update

This week, Year 10 Careers Meetings commenced.  Emails have been sent out last week to parents and students to advise that this was happening. This is a great time for students to explore future plans beyond school and discuss their Allwell Careers test results.  

Also discussed is intentions for Work Experience (which is scheduled to run at the end of Term 2). A reminder will be sent prior to the end of Term 1 for students to make Work Experience arrangements in the holidays. 

If students are planning to be away over the Easter break, the onus is on them to make arrangements before the holidays. Some students will also need to arrange for a white card to enable them to work at a building site.  

Later in the term I will spend some time with the rest of the senior secondary cohort.

VET Update

By now students should be settled into their VET Courses. If students are not sure they want to continue with the VET Course they are currently enrolled in, they need to let me know ASAP.  The deadline for withdrawals from VET is Thursday 2 March. 

If students wish to withdraw, they need to advise me in writing by 10am on Thursday 2 March - to allow time to process the withdrawal by end of that day. I am not available on Friday 3 March to process any withdrawal requests. 

There may be a $50 withdrawal fee charged if received by the deadline, if received after this time - full fee payment is required. All VET fees are due for payment at the end of TTerm 1.
