OUR COMMUNITY GATHERED...

...In classrooms, courtyards and co-curricular clubs

This week provided some wonderful opportunities for our whole community to gather in different ways. As well as all of the normal weekly gatherings of students and staff in classrooms and co-curricular activities, it was lovely to once again have the positive energy and hum of animated conversations and laughter fill the courtyards at break times.

...At our annual Years 8 and 9 Parent Information Evening

On Wednesday night we held the annual Years 8 and 9 Parent Information Evening. This was a great way for parents to meet and greet our Principal, Mr Leo Di Gregorio and their child’s Assistant Deputy Principal, plus an option to book in a time for a check-in conversation with their PCG teacher. PCG teachers have told me they really enjoyed the opportunity to meet with parents to enquire about their children and their wellbeing and their goals for the academic year ahead.

...To share advice, wisdom and experiences

The Parent Information Evening program included a wide range of targeted information sessions, giving parents the choice to go to the session that was most relevant to their child’s year at school and their academic and pastoral journey ahead in 2023. We will endeavour to get the information session slides out to our community as soon as possible so parents who were unable to attend the event have a chance to share the information provided. Thank you to Mrs Wiesia Collins for organising the evening and to the P&F for providing tea and coffee in the RNDM Foyer on the night.

...To celebrate 2022 Year 12 High Achievers' Success at Assembly

With the challenges of COVID-19 restrictions now hopefully behind us, it was a special  joy to gather together in our beautiful Koort Centre for our first Whole School Assembly of the year. Whilst the focus was on celebrating the achievements of the 2022 Year 12 High Achievers, it was also a chance for our Principal, Mr Di Gregorio, to express our shared passion and commitment to make Sacred Heart College’s true focus this year one of Mission.

...For wine and cheese at our first P&F meeting – Monday 13 February at 7:00pm in The Hywood Room

Parents and friends of the College are invited to join us this coming Monday for our first P&F Meeting. This is a great opportunity to welcome our new families to the College, connect socially and find out what’s really happening at school this year. Whether you can commit to our regular twice a term meetings, or as often as you can, it’s the best way for you to see whats happening on campus and have a say in how P&F financially support the initiatives on campus.

I hope you and your families have stayed safe and well this week and that a restful weekend awaits you all.
