SACRED HEART NETBALL CLUB

It may be early in the year to be thinking about Winter netball, but we have already started organising for the Sacred Heart Netball Club.

Sacred Heart Netball Club fields teams in both the Winter and Spring competitions at Wanneroo Districts Netball Association (WDNA). Games are played at Kingsway Sports Grounds on a Saturday (Winter) or Wednesday night (Spring). The Winter season runs in Terms 2 and 3 and the Spring season runs during Term 4.

  • The SHC Netball Club focuses on girls having fun, building friendships and keeping fit. We do not grade teams and the players usually arrange their own teams which they submit to us, meaning its a great way to play with friends. However, the Committee will work with students in Year 7 and new students to the school to arrange suitable teams for them. It's a great way for players to get to know others in their year group, and parents/caregivers too!
  • Each year, the Club registers 15 to 19 teams in the Winter League and seven to nine teams for the Spring season.
  • Training is conveniently held on the College's netball courts after school.
  • The Club is run by a Committee of volunteers that, along with various school staff members, helps with various tasks and events throughout the year so that the students can enjoy playing the game with their school friends.
  • The Committee is always looking for additional help and there are lots of volunteering opportunities e.g. helping as a Committee Member, becoming a team Coach or Manager, volunteering at Kingsway when our club is scheduled and helping out at the end of Winter Season Wind-up evening.

Please note that ONLY SACRED HEART STUDENTS can play in Sacred Heart netball teams. This is a requirement of the College and a condition of using the Sacred Heart name.

If your child is interested in playing with a group of friends, as an individual looking to be part of the team or if you are interested in joining our Committee, please contact Amanda at shcnetball@outlook.com
