ONE FINE DAY IN A LIBRARY FAR, FAR AWAY

You can’t go past Star Wars for stories bristling with epic galactic adventures and an interstellar cast of beloved heroes and villains.  Suddenly and inexplicably, we were swept up by the May the Fourth hype and celebrated with some fun activities in the Library.

Our students invaded disguised as stormtroopers.  They were not your usual villainous stormtroopers but far more ambitious and a force for good.  Their mission was simple and clear: to show the bad guys how it’s done.  Stormtroopers coloured in Star Wars pictures for the display, read, played chess, helped and generally had fun.  Our magnificent display showcased some of our best loved science fiction stories as chosen by our awesome Teen Library Advisors.

We all had fun visiting the Star Wars universe on May the Fourth.  If you missed out coming to the Library on Star Wars Day, I encourage you to visit soon and borrow from our exciting science fiction collection.  By reading, you too can travel the universe and enjoy exciting adventures in exotic locations from the safety and comfort of your armchair.

And May the Fourth Be With You!
