The Kindness Project
On Wednesday 5th April, students from the Community Services VET course launched their Kindness Project with a colourful display of chalk messages in the space between Jacaranda and Melaleuca Houses. The purpose of the project is to promote kindness in the school community. Students from the course started writing and colouring messages to spread the word about the value of kindness during recess. Messages included “Kindness can change the world” and “Do good”. The VET students were soon joined by other students walking past, keen to share their skills and ideas in the same spirit of kindness. Many of the students who joined the activity were new to the school this year, either joining Year 7 or coming from overseas to join the school community. It was truly heart-warming to see students who did not previously know each other, spontaneously working together to make a colourful and positive display for the whole school community to enjoy. Stay tuned for further activities as part of the Community Services VET program, including a food truck and a fairy floss machine!
