Teacher of the Week

Holly O'Brien

We’re really proud of all our teaching and support staff and the way they are adapting to our new learning environment. Staff are working as a cohesive team; they are experimenting with new approaches, are sharing ideas and resources and are doing everything they can to make this engaging and accessible for students. Each week we will profile one staff member who is doing an outstanding job, based on nominations from students.

This week’s teacher of the week is Ms O’Brien. Ms O’Brien is always a favourite of our students and this has not changed in the remote learning period. She is dedicated, communicates clearly and is a natural when it comes to connecting with students (online and in person).

Ms O’Brien’s students have benefitted from her hard work. In addition to her own classes, she has also been supporting our VET staff and students and doing her best to ensure this important aspect of our school runs smoothly.

Ms O’Brien sets work with really good instructions and she explains how to do it well. She also sets work that is fun.

Ms O’Brien is really helpful and is doing a great job. She always messages us to make sure we are okay with work and is so helpful.

Ms O’Brien has been really good. She sends constant emails and messages to check up and see how we are doing. She informs us when we are starting something new or when there is a task to complete. She is alert and this has helped me when I come across an issue- she is right onto it!
