(pictured above, School Captains and Vice Captains at the Afternoon Tea)
On a warm Winter's afternoon on Saturday 2 June we were thrilled to welcome back over 100 of our past Captains, Vice Captains, Duxes, Valedictorians and members of our community for a special afternoon tea. After a tour of the school led by current students, those present were entertained by music from students and listened to Caroline Xu (School Captain 2015) speak about her experience at Sophie's Farm.
During the afternoon, nominated members of our community were inducted into The Gallery on the top floor of the Janet Erskine Stuart Centre.
Those in attendance who were inducted were Niki Crowley, Joan Fitzpatrick, Gabrielle Garlepp, Rosie Hayes (decd), Meredith Kain, John Loschiavo, John Marks, Hon Justice Keith Marks QC (decd) and Marisa Reid.
In addition were Mark Flipo, Bernie Mithen, Libby Lyons, Professor Marion Peters and former Principal, Maureen Ryan.
Alumnae Annual General Meeting- Sunday 20 May
There was a great atmosphere at Sunday's 2018 Alumnae Association's Annual General Meeting. We thank the 61 Alumnae who attended, including twelve alumnae from the Class of 1958 and two from the Class of 1948. We were thrilled that Sr Nickie Flipo RSCJ could be with us again.
New Co-Presidents Marianne Cassin (1977) and Kerry Bergin (Feely, 1960) were sworn in, as President for the last six years, Marisa Reid (Galli, 1983) handed over the role.
Dominca Meade (2015) shared the story of her trip to the AMASC Mexican Conference where she and Elish Roberts (2014) presented a talk about Sophie's Farm in the Phillipines.
Our sincere thanks to Marisa for her selfless dedication and outstanding achievements during her time as Alumnae Association President, and we wish Marianne and Kerry every success as they lead our Alumnae Association into the future!
