News

I sent home a Stride for Education sponsorship sheet on Friday. I have encouraged students to try and get families to sponsor them per kilometre they are able to walk/run. These amounts don't need to be large and I have also told students that sponsorship is not compulsory.

It was great to see some students dress up for "La De Dah" day on Friday! Look at some of the glamour below!

Literacy

Students have been working hard on an information report. They have selected animals and researched facts. They then shared their facts with others who were researching the same animal. Students have split their information/facts into paragraphs and will need to write a "sizzling start" this week to begin their writing piece.

Maths

Number & Algebra continues. Across the two classrooms, we have three math groups working at points of need. Last week, one of the groups was solving worded problems, while a second group was exploring place value and the tens of thousands. The last group has been doing factors and multiples. Please keep up the times' tables at home.

Life Relationships

Last week we looked further into the excitement and awkwardness of the reproductive systems. Near the end of the session, Miss Bridget took the girls away for a more in-depth discussion on menstruation.

Inquiry

Some more science this week.

Have a great week everyone!
