Choosing your own adventure

Last week a group of year 7 and 8 students participated in an online course ‘Fractured Fairy Tales'. 

In this course, we had the opportunity to create our own ‘choose your own adventure' story. We discussed some well-known fairy tales, particularly Little Red Riding Hood, and how we could fracture the story and make it our own. During the course, we were introduced to an augmented reality app called Metaverse. We learnt how to navigate the app and how to bring our story to life. By the end of the course, we had all created our very own interactive ‘choose your own adventure' story. It was very engaging, and we would highly recommend this for all looking to develop their literacy and digital storytelling skills.
