There are many pathways to your destination

Although it has often felt like a ‘never-ending term’, suddenly we are in the final week!  Time does strange things in lockdown…

Well done to all the Year 12s who have completed their VTAC course and SEAS/Scholarship applications.  I have met with quite a few students who are planning alternative transitions and it’s been really enlightening to discuss ‘dream’ and ‘back-up’ plans with the cohort.  Remember that there are many pathways to the same destination, and no decision you make now will be binding for life!  The important thing is to have a plan and to work towards achieving it.  If you need to chat with me about your transition plan, please make an appointment to do so via the careers page on myNorthcoteHigh.

Using the 'Common Application' to apply for study in the USA

Are you thinking about studying in the United States of America? Many universities in the USA are now using Common App for applications from student in both the USA and overseas.  You can view an information session to learn more HERE. 

Year 12 students - your deadline is here! 

We would like ALL Year 12 students to have completed their VTAC application, including SEAS and Scholarships by the end of this term.  That is THIS FRIDAY!  The final day for applications is 30 September. 

Any student not applying for courses next year should book a meeting with Booma to discuss their transition plans.

VTAC dates for Year 12 

All students will receive their ATAR on Thursday 16th December. 

Changing Your Preferences:

International students will have until 12pm on Friday 17th December to change/finalise their preferences prior to Round 1 offers on Monday 20th December.

Domestic students will have until 4pm on Monday 20th December to change/finalise their preferences prior to Round 1 offers on Friday 14th January.

Support will be offered to students on all VTAC key dates. Stay tuned for more information regarding this in future newsletter editions.
