Term 3 Writing Competition

Last term, in Weeks 8, 9 and 10, students at Scoresby Primary were offered the opportunity to enter the 'Kids News Writing Competition' to write a short story. The categories were Years F-2 (250-750 words), Years 3/4 (500-1000 words) and Years 5/6 (500-1000 words).

Students joined lunchtime writing sessions to receive feedback from peers and Miss Matthews, and final entries were polished off and entered on the last day of term. Kids News will announce and publish winning entries on 3rd December.

Mrs Hartley enjoyed reading them over the holidays and made her own choice of winning entry. The winners of the Principal Award in each category was announced at last Friday's assembly and we have also published them here, along with their short story competition entry.
