Principal's Report
Students Back On-Site
It has been fantastic to have our Foundation students back in their classrooms this week and learn in their classrooms. This period of time will present new challenges as we move from full-time Remote Learning to part-time back on site, to then full time back on site.
We know that families will be naturally concerned about the risks associated with children returning on site. The Royal Children's Hospital has a great video that includes experts in this field of science talking about students returning to school.
I would encourage families who are concerned to take the time to view the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQvh3Wmk4Zc
It is natural as a parent to want to protect your child and as a school, we have multiple strategies in place to minimise mixing and sharing of rooms and resources, being able to work outside where possible, hand hygiene and many more.
2022 Planning
We are well into planning for the 2022 school year. If you know that your child will not be at Marlborough next year (other than our Year 6 students) please let the office know as soon as possible.
Each year families are invited to submit a request for consideration for student placement for the following school year. These requests must be educationally based, families cannot make requests for specific friends or teachers. If you believe you have such a request I ask that you email me by November 5th. If you have made a request in the past and believe that the need is still current you are asked to make the request again. Please note that all requests are considered in our student placement process but are not always able to be granted.
Enrolments
If you have a younger sibling who will be attending Marlborough Primary next year their enrolment should be into school by now. Enrolment forms can be accessed on our website and emailed into marlborough.ps@education.vic.gov.au
