Just a quick recap of the season. Overall it was a great step forward to where we want to get to.
With 5 wins and 5 losses and finishing mid-table and only 1 point away from being 6th place, we were knocking at the door of finals, which would have been huge for the club and the boys. With most points collected in a season for many years the MPL is looking in great shape for 2022.
As the coach I'm very proud of how the boys adapted to the structures we set in place and their willingness to learn and dig deep when they had to. I asked a bit of the boys fitness-wise and rocking up on game day with energy and intensity that is needed and they never went away from that.
In my eyes we beat the teams that we should have beaten and the best win was 3-2 vs Altona at their ground, never easy out there and when Altona drew level 2-2 with 30 seconds to go i thought we lost it but full credit to the boys with never say die attitude got it done.
Also pushing the top 2 sides all the way, Camberwell 3-2 loss and Southern United 3-1 loss as they are the benchmark of the league we are closing that gap very quickly as its exciting for everyone involved at the club.
Overall I believe it's a very exciting time for the club and the MPL, we are heading in the right direction and can't wait to see what 2022 brings (hopefully no more lock downs).
Thanks to everyone involved and helping out. As being new to the club the support and help was next level and can't thank you enough, it's truly one of the best clubs I've been involved in and hopefully for many more.
