Tiago Da Silva Dantas (Class: 53)
"Hello everyone! My name is Tiago Dantas and I’m here to talk about my learning experience in the IEC.
On my first day, I thought I was good speaking English, but I understood that my English was really bad compared to the people in the school or even my classmates. I didn’t understand most of the words, so I started to speak with my parents in English for at least a few minutes every day. Also, I started watching films in English, and I like to watch videos on youtube. So, In addition to what I learned in my class, I decided to watch more English channels and all of these small things improved my English so much. Now, I’m happy with the result but I want more because I always wanted to speak a lot of English. And lastly, when I was in school, I met some very cool people in my class and even enjoy playing soccer in the field. With this I just want to say that until now I have enjoyed the experience in Evans IEC.
Thank you everyone."
Kamila Sadeqi (Class: 53)
"Hello Friends, Today I'm going to talk about about my experience about learning from home, behind a computer.
Firstly, everyone has different thoughts about learning online. In my opinion it's hard but at the same time some things are easy and good.
I want to start by telling you about the advantages of online classes. I think sometimes it’s good that we are learning from home because we don't need to waste our time by going on the bus or train. We just need to log in and do our work. Also, we can just do our work from our bed and anytime we want. We don't need to be behind the computer all the time. We can just take a break if we get tired. We can do some stretches or go to the kitchen and eat or drink something, go out and sit in the sunshine or even go for a walk and then go back to what we were doing.
On the other hand, it’s not so good because learning from home is kind of harder than from learning face to face in class. We can't see our teachers or our friends and talk with them, we can’t ask what we don't understand. I know we can ask our teachers online, but it’s not same as asking when we were in the class. Also, I think talking face to face is more interesting than messaging.
So yes, I think online classes have their own disadvantages and advantages."
Joisephine Laione (Class: 44)
"Good morning everyone.
My name is Joisephine and today I will talk to you about my experience of remote learning. My initial thoughts about remote learning were that it would be very difficult and I found it very hard.
Suddenly, I now know how helpful remote learning is, so that I can figure things out by myself and make my brain spin ideas easily to help the teachers and not make their job hard. I am staying focused and motivated which is the biggest challenge I have faced during remote learning. From the beginning of this term I have enjoyed doing experiments and quizzes for teachers in which we can revise our work to understand better.
Every day I plan to keep myself safe and healthy by doing exercise and eating healthy food. One thing that I am looking forward to after all this is to work hard and find a better future for myself and my family.
Thank you, teachers and students, for listening."
Ocean

Class 44
Clear as a glass
Filled with cute fishes
One was big with a splash
But now became dishes
Water was very clean
Brighter than a light
Until it became a bin
I even saw a bottle of Sprite
Whale saw a garbage bag
Thinking it's a jellyfish
Ate it without a thought
Died because of that tiny rubbish
Fish swimming around
Looking for food to bite
Wondering what is that sound
Then learnt it was dynamite
What did you do to the ocean?
Why are you making it worse?
What have you done, humans?
You guys are recorded to be the worst
A Haiku from class 52:
Volcano
Like hot chilli sauce
Molten lava explosions
Spill orange and red
If you want to save money on your place because you only have enough to pay bills, these brilliant ideas can help you. Firstly, be environmentally friendly so if you plant vegetables or fruits you can have your own fruits and vegetables for free and you can even start a business with it. Not just that, you are also preventing pollution. Secondly, use public transport because it is cheap and also you can arrive at the same time as a car. You’re also releasing less smoke which is preventing pollution too. Lastly, use renewable energy like solar energy. It can save you from paying high amounts of electricity bills and you can use it again and again. These ideas will help you save money and help the environment. In this way you can also help the inhabitants of your area.
