Year 7 Year Adviser

Allyssia Lloyd

Hi Year 7. Ms Azzi and I hope you’re all working well online and keeping safe during lockdown. We are both so proud of the maturity and dedication you've shown in completing classwork and maintaining contact with your teachers.

A big congratulations to the following students who received an Evans Treats delivery for their efforts during remote learning; Mohammed I, Arvinder, Lilian and Adrian. Well done!

Parents and caregivers are reminded to continue contacting the school via phone or email if assistance with education is needed. Students can also directly contact their teachers on Google Classroom if they need any assistance.

We hope you and your families are doing well and we look forward to seeing you all back at school when face to face learning continues.

Year 10 Year Adviser

Rhys Murphy

As perhaps the most challenging and certainly the most unusual school term of our lives draws to a close, I would just like to extend my personal thanks to the students of Year 10. Your hard work and optimism has made what has otherwise been difficult circumstances, extremely rewarding. I would also like to again acknowledge the hard work of parents and carers in ensuring that students are accessing the work to the best of their ability.

Moving forward and into next term, we will still initially find ourselves completing our schooling in a similar manner to Term 3. I would like to remind everyone reading this to ensure that they are taking care of themselves in these difficult times, and that Evans High and its staff are there to support each and every member of our community. So please reach out if you or your child/ward is having any difficulties and we will do what we can to assist you.

Stay safe, take some time away from the screen and look after one another. Have an enjoyable break and I will catch you all next term.

Year 12 Year Adviser

Stephen Satmaka

As I write this, Year 12 have just finished writing their online trials, and are one step closer to their next stage of life. I’d have to say that I am beyond proud of this group, as they had to navigate around all of the restrictions under a hard lock down. They all had to go back to working remotely on their final academic term before their HSC exams. They’ve shown nothing but resilience and tenacity in getting on with their work to complete their school career in these unsure times. They’ve been exemplary in this and model the right kind of attitude and mental toughness to get on with their goals, and show the rest of the school how it’s done! Good work guys. We can do this!

Excelsior!
