5. Learning

Our School is returning under level 3+ restrictions. This means the Government and NSW Health have noted that they advise schools are safe to return to. Learning on-site will be prioritised and off-site learning will be available from packages available from the Department of Education’s Learning From Home site:

www.education.nsw.gov.au/teaching-and-learning/learning-from-home

Learning at School

Students returning to school will continue with lessons prepared by their teachers. Students will complete each lesson in the same classroom to minimise movement around the school. Students will be using their Chromebooks for the majority of their lessons.

Students will transition back to their classroom routines under the guidance of their teachers and be provided with opportunities to reconnect with their peers and the school environment. These activities will be in line with the guidelines provided to schools which are returning to Level 3+status.

6. Returning Chromebooks and Laptops

Any students who have borrowed Chromebooks and laptops must return them to the school on Monday 25 October. Students are to take their Chromebook with them to class and year groups will be allocated a time to return them to the office.

7. Playground Areas.

Current restrictions will mean that cohorts will need to be kept separate from each other. For this to happen effectively during break times, we have allocated spaces to certain cohorts.

Students are to remain in these areas and not to cross over into other areas.

Wet weather allocations:

Year 7 - Year 8   : School Library

Year 9 - Year 10 : Across 2 Colas

They must always have a mask in their pocket or bag. Masks will also be required on public transport, school buses and our school bus. If students are refusing to wear masks in the classroom, without an exemption, they will be asked to leave school. Please provide a medical certificate indicating an exemption.
