Year 10 News

Thank you to all Year 10 students who participated at the school athletics. A special mention to Zoe Markopoulos for her fantastic 1500m run and to Emile Boulos for all his aerial endeavours. 

Congratulations to the following students who have been nominated for the Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars Program. The following students may have the opportunity to receive a Commonwealth supported place into selected Melbourne undergraduate programs.

Year 11 News

 The last couple of weeks have been busy as we start preparations for the 2019 school year.  Ms McLean worked hard to ensure each Year 11 student went through the course confirmation process, discussing choices for subjects for Year 12 2019.    

I was so proud to see so many Year 11s attend the GEC Athletics Day on Tuesday the 4th September.  It was a great day, so many great events that Year 11s rocketed through .  Well done to all Year 11s who attended, for showing great sportsmanship and being great supporters for their house.

Year 12 News

Year 12 students have been working towards completing unit 4 and getting prepared for their end of year exams.  Early next week each student completing a unit 3/4 subject will be given an examination advice slip.  This document is to be retained by the student as it has their individual timetable for the end of year exams.

It is the time of the year that students are encouraged to attend open days at the various tertiary institutions.  They are also encouraged to attend the examination preparation lectures that are being held in various study areas. 

Students have also been registering for VTAC and working with Ms McCaskie and her replacement Ms Pirihi whilst Ms McCaskie is on leave. 

The September practice exam timetable has been published and students are expected to attend these exams.  If there are any issues regarding these exams please contact the school and speak to either myself or Monique Leftley who is the senior school administrative assistant.
