Seek Justice

Pilgrimage Retreat

The Pilgrimage students and staff participated in their Retreat on Friday 28 July and Saturday 29July.  One key component of the program is to raise funds for the communities we will be visiting in India, Timor Leste, Cambodia and Beswick in the Northern Territory.

The students participated in a 10 Kilometre 'Solidarity Walk' on Saturday morning and as a group, they managed to raise over $8000.

Another key aspect on the program is to raise awareness about the social justice issues of the communities we will be visiting. On Wednesday evening the group hosted a Movie night to raise awareness about the issue of Human Trafficking.

Please support our final fundraising event. The Pilgrimage Quiz night will be held on Saturday 26 August.

Pilgrimage Program

The John XXlll College Pilgrimage program offers our students and staff the opportunity for growth and transformation through the experience of service, reflection and prayer. 41 Year 11 students and 12 staff members will have the opportunity to travel to Beswick in the Northern Territory, Cambodia, India and Timor Leste in September to broaden their world view and discover how they can become ‘men and women for others’ and ‘seekers of truth and doers of justice’.

The funds raised in the Wine Drive, Movie Night and Quiz Night will be donated directly to the communities that we visit to help support their programs related to health, education, building enterprises, income generation activities etc….

Please support the Pilgrimage program by engaging with one of our fundraising activities or making a direct donation to the program.
