Welcome to 2020 Learning at McCarthy - an opportunity to Be Better Everyday. A new year and  a new timetable ensure the perfect opportunity for a fresh start where students can resolve to be a better learner - at all times;  in learning spaces, in the playground and in the community.

Along the same theme, we welcome all the students who are new to McCarthy across all year groups. We hope that you enjoy your time at McCarthy Catholic College and that you make the most of  the opportunities that are presented for great learning each lesson. A very warm welcome is also extended to the staff who have commenced teaching at the college - we look forward to your insight and energy.

New collaborative learning spaces have been created, new and exciting courses have been introduced. Staff are working, under the expert guidance of Mrs Briony Martin, in new Professional Learning Teams that are specifically linked to the College Annual Improvement Plan.

The 2019 HSC results continue to demonstrate growth in areas across the college and are reflective of the high quality learning relationships that have been nurtured. Congratulations to the 2019 cohort - the results show significant comparative growth for a significant number of individuals. Congratulations particularly, to Sebastian Diss, who was presented with a trophy for Dux at Monday's assembly. Sebastian's consistent hard work is  a great model for all to follow.
