Parent Function- Tomorrow Night

Open Day Success

Yesterday morning we had around 70 families(100+ participants)  attend Galilee Open Morning. The families were invited to watch a quick assembly and then began a tour with Year Five and Six students around Galilee. We received many comments about how informative the students were during the tours. Thank you to the students and teachers for an impressive show-casing of our school. I would also like to thank Galilee parents who helped setup and serve morning tea kindly provided by Bakers Delight, South Melbourne.

Athletics Day

Our Athletics day was a kaleidoscope of colour and movement!

Students made their way to Newport Athletics Track to test themselves in races, discus, high jump, triple jump, shotput and long jump.

Thank you to Mr. Tobin, staff and the many parents who helped to pack and unpack the bus, set up the venue, run/supervise events and of course the supporters who came to watch their child.

We look forward to hearing the results of the winning house colour.

Reconciliation Sacraments

On Friday our Year 3 students will gather together for a Reconciliation Reflection Day at Galilee. Students will work together on a variety of activities to celebrated all the hard work that they have been doing to prepare to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The Sacrament of First Reconciliation will be celebrated next Tuesday 20th at Ss. Peter and Paul at 7pm and Thursday 22nd at OLMC at 7pm. All families are welcome to attend to witness the students make their sacrament. We wish the students every blessing as they participate in the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the First time.
