MYLNS

Middle Years Literacy & Numeracy Strategy (MYLNS) direct support has officially begun over the past two weeks. Students in the program have had a mixture of in and out of class support. Small group learning is a fantastic opportunity for our direct support staff to get to know our students, but also for our students to receive the attention they need to fulfil their numeracy and literacy goals for the rest of the year.

MYLNS students are also the first ones to utilise the new equipment and furniture including the whiteboard tables, bean bag chairs, Maths and English learning resources and more! Not only that, but they also get to nibble on a few goodies during our sessions!

The MYLNS team are extremely excited to see the students grow each week.

TLI

Over the past weeks, tutors in the Tutoring Learning Initiative (TLI) have worked hard to get the 2022 program up and running. Tutors have been in contact with families and students and are now working to establish learning goals with students. Alongside the Middle Years Literacy & Numeracy Strategy (MYLNS) team, tutors are working with students in the NEW and improved B2 classroom, to provide targeted support to students in areas of literacy and/or numeracy.

The TLI program is targeted towards those students whose learning growth has been impacted by the COVID- remote learning periods of 2021. The tutors look forward to keeping the school community up to date with the progress and successes of the program.
