The Careers Team:

Year 9 Students and Parents – Morrisby

Most Year 9s have now completed the Morrisby Profiling. We encourage students to review their Morrisby report with a parent or guardian and aim to have the Morrisby Tasks (Report and Student Workbook completed) submitted to Simon. This is needed to trigger the Morrisby careers interview which is particularly beneficial if undertaken in Semester One, prior to Course/Subject selection early in Term 3. Further details are available on Simon > Year 9 Careers.

Year 10 Students and Parents – Work Experience/Structured Workplace Learning

Most Year 10s participated in the information briefing and sessions relating to work experience or SWL (for Year 10 Applied Learners). Students now have the task of securing a placement, ideally by the end of this term and completing the required tasks (Forms, Safe@Work certification and Induction Handbook by 12 May). Further details are available on Simon > Year 10 Careers.

Congratulations Hannah Wertiechowski – 2022 Hansen Scholarship recipient at the University of Melbourne

Almost a year ago Hannah applied for and after an extensive 6-month selection process was nominated to receive a Hansen Scholarship at the University of Melbourne. The Hansen Scholarship is the universities flagship equity scholarship for commencing undergraduate students and is one of the most generous undergraduate scholarship in Australia. Hannah will be studying a Bachelor of Biomedicine and her long-term career aspiration involves becoming a psychiatrist. We are thrilled for Hannah and wish her every success as she continues her careers and pathways journey.
