Youth Leadership Conference

Youth Leadership Conference was held virtually in the Woodmans Hill theatre

On Tuesday 1st of March, selected students from year levels 7 to 12 participated in a Youth Leadership Conference run by Youth Academy Australia. This event was designed for students to listen to young leaders discuss the process of becoming a leader and their experiences. Through hearing these experiences, the ups and the downs, students were motivated and encouraged to become leaders in their school community.

There were two messages that resonated the most with me. The first being it is ok and beneficial to do things outside your comfort zone, it is through this that we can learn and develop. But also, you are never too young to start your own journey, no matter what it is, the best thing you can do is gradually work up towards your goal.

This experience has taught me what it means to be a good leader, and how we are able to accomplish that. I would like to thank our school staff for providing us with this amazing opportunity. It was an such an inspiring experience to have been able to attend and I do hope to implement some of the techniques they provided throughout the conference.
