Stem Year 4 & 5/6

This week, students in Years 4, 5 and 6 participated in a STEM incursion with engineering students from Melbourne University who are members of the not for profit organisation ‘Engineers Without Borders’. Students learnt about the various disciplines within engineering. They were then presented with a challenge to construct a vessel which could float and hold a weight, replicating houses overseas which are built on floodplains.

They also heard of the wonderful work these students have done in Cambodia designing technical solutions to challenges faced by communities abroad.
