Year 4M - Update

In Year 4 we have been developing our persuasive writing techniques using the 6 Writer’s Traits and the OREO strategy. Last week we posed the idea of having a four day working week and a three day weekend. You wouldn’t believe it, but opinion was split on the concept! Here are two wonderful examples from either side of the fence. Which side are you on?

Give us A 3 Day Weekend!!

Do you teachers and other people realise that children always come to school tired? For example you could be teaching your best ever/very important class and half of your class is falling asleep. Well that's because students don’t have enough weekend time and need more time with friends or family.

It has been proven that over the weekend less pollution is used because everyone likes to get out into nature and walk everywhere. So this will cause a healthier environment for us humans, fish or anything that lives in the sea and other animals that live on our planet. That's why we should get a 3 day weekend.

‘’Mmm’’ eating popcorn while watching a movie with the family. Well that would be awesome because a lot of students miss their family at school, so it would be great if you could spend more time with your family. Also kids can do more chores around the house and learn how to do it properly. The fact is that imagine when your child is an adult and they don't even know what buttons to press on the washing machine, how foolish! So clearly it makes sense that we should have a longer weekend.

So surely by now you could agree that no sane person wouldn’t think that a 3 day weekend is the best opportunity for us Australians… What! How? I’m really confused if you're still reading this. I've already stated about the teachers' benefits, how it makes the earth healthier and lastly family time. So there's no way you can disagree, so call your principal or the government and change it to a 3 day weekend!!

You’d have to be crazy to think that a three day weekend and a four day school day is better than a normal week of school. Are you sure you want to be the fool who takes another day of school away from your children? 

To begin with, an intelligent person would see that Coronavirus has already made us stay back a year, and we wouldn't get enough schooling as we used to.

Every body nose that a fWour day school Day iss the worst thign ever!!!

See? My friend just wrote this and they barely know how to write and spell! Adults, teachers and students should realize that more education is better for all Australians.

Surely you would agree that a four day school day and a three day weekend is hard, almost impossible to deal with. Once you’ve read this, go home and tell your friends and family that they should never agree to a four day school day and a three day weekend.
