Positive Education

The concept of PERMAH underpins Positive Education as each letter leads to a greater sense of wellbeing.  The last letter referring to the health component is a relatively new concept and was seen as the final piece of the puzzle. The ‘H’ link explores how diet, sleep and exercise affect one's wellbeing negatively when not balanced and addressed.

A recent ad campaign supported by the Dylan Alcott Foundation is an example of how, if we focus on the health element as part of our daily mantra, it’s benefits far outweigh not even attempting.

The ‘Not Done Yet’ Campaign seen in the clip below promotes the importance of moving, no matter what size or shape you are, what physical or mental disability you may have or what your social or cultural circumstances are.  The campaign breaks down the barriers and supports the importance of using resilience, mental strength, connections, belief in oneself and moving to improve wellbeing; all PERMAH.
