During Term 2 secondary students had the opportunity to participate in the Australian History Competition.  Thank you to all students who participated in the competition.  These students were awarded the following:

During August, three Mount Carmel students, Elizabeth Ims (Year 8), Olivia Ims (Year 6) and Elysia Scott (Year 1) competed in the 7 Tasmanian Open, a National Ballroom Dancing Championship. They competed across all three styles; Standard, New Vogue and Latin. 

 

Elizabeth competed in at least 20 events, dancing solo, individual and as a couple, placing 3rd in the Tasmanian Closed Latin and 4th in the Junior C Grade Couples Standard and New Vogue styles. 

Olivia competed in solo, individual and couple events with her partner. 

Elysia also competed in multiple events, and made it to a final, finishing 6th against lots of competitors from the mainland.
