Socktober 2022
Dear Parents and Carers,
Our Mini Vinnies social justice focus for Mission Week Term 4 will be SOCKTOBER. We participated in Socktober last year by making our own soccer balls as classes and playing with them on a special day to fundraise.
Again, this year, students have been asked to bring these materials to make the sockballs in class.
- String
- Used socks
- Old T shirts
- Bubble wrap
- Polystyrene
- Recyclable plastic bags
- Paper eg: newspaper
Please help your child/ children to collect these materials and send them by the end of term.
Our SOCKTOBER DAY is Term 4 Monday 10th October. Year 6 Mini Vinnies students will help to coordinate the day. Each class will have an opportunity to kick their sockballs in a variety of activities at school.
Students may wear their house colours on the day.
We ask that the children bring gold coin donations on the day.
All money raised goes to Catholic missions and this year the money goes to supporting the people of Ethiopia.
Here is the video about how the children will make a sock ball

Dear Families,
Congratulations to all the children who made their First Holy Communion on Sunday. We are very proud of the students who have completed the First Communion Program and the mass was a significant celebration as they received the Body of Christ for the first time.
Thank you to all the parents and carers for your great support and participation in the program as the children continue their journey of faith.
Yours in faith,
