From the Principal

Week 9 Term 3 2022

Dear Parents and Carers

School Performance

Just on a week now to our school performance "Do you see what I see?"  There is much excitement  as the students  practise in preparation to perform in front of our school community. I know you  will all enjoy the evening!!!!

All families have  now had the opportunity to purchase 4 tickets. As of 4pm this afternoon if you wish to purchase more tickets then you can  log back on and do so. Just follow the same instructions.  On the evening  we ask that you arrive between 6.15pm and 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start.  There will be staff to help direct you to the Performing Arts Area. Parking will be onsite and you will be able to enter via Mont Albert Road. (Gate 3)

The children will be involved in a whole school dress rehearsal during the day on Thursday 15th. This will provide them with the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the theatre. It will be a great way to finish the term.  If the children wish to sleep in on the Friday after the performance that will be ok.

As there will be a large audience the school strongly advises the wearing of masks.

Early Arrivals

There seems to be a increasing number of students arriving at school before 8.25am. If children arrive before this time, the school, through Camp Australia, provides before school care.  The doors to the buildings do not open until 8.30am. Parents are asked to book their child into before school care for supervision if arriving early.

Footy Day

Just a reminder that tomorrow is footy day. The children may wear their favourite footy colours to school. This can be your favourite AFL ,Soccer or NRL team colours.  For those who are ordering tuckshop there is a special footy day lunch.

Term 3 Finish

Just a reminder that Term 3 finishes on Friday September 16th and children are dismissed at 1.10pm. Term 4 commences on Monday October 3rd at 8.40am.

R U OK?

Today is R U OK? Day  which is our national day of action when we remind Australians that every day is the day to ask, ‘are you OK?’ and start a meaningful conversation whenever they spot the signs that someone they care about might be struggling with life. I attended Professional Learning  a few weeks ago where it was mentioned that WHO  has stated that anxiety will be the number one disability by 2030.   It really is important to ask R U OK!!!!!!!!

Have a great week

Brian
