Australian Geography and History Competitions 2022

As part of our Humanities offerings at Oxley, selected students from Years 7 to10 participated in the 2022 Australian Geography and History Competitions. Almost 150,000 students across Australia took part in the competitions this year. At Oxley, 43 students participated in the Geography competition during Term 1, while 21 students took part in the History competition, which took place just before examination week. This year, our students have achieved some remarkable results, with over two-thirds of participants achieving at least a credit result. Of special mention are the following expert geographers and historians.

My thanks and congratulations go out to all students who participated. Your achievements are appreciated by all those around you, especially your teachers, classmates, and parents. Certificates will be distributed at an upcoming Humanities Assembly in Term 4.  I am also grateful to our dedicated Geography and History teachers who helped to facilitate the competition, and who inspire our students in their learning every day.
