Vice-Captains Report

Hello MWPS Community,

This week we are celebrating book week! The theme for this year is ‘Dreaming with eyes open…’. Staff and students have been busy designing and decorating their classroom doors. Throughout the week we will be answering questions about books that are well known to us. There is a question for P - 2 and one for Years 3 - 6. If you answer the question correctly you go into a draw to win a daily prize. The most exciting part of the week is the ‘Book Week Parade’ which will be on Friday 26th August. Students are invited to dress up as one of their favourite book characters. Stay tuned for some photos on our social media pages and in the next edition of our newsletter.

Next week the Year 5/6 students are going on an excursion to Melbourne to do the Colonial Walking Tour. Due to the lack of excursions over the past two years we are rather excited to be able to venture out.

Coming up later in the year, we will be having a special celebration for the school's 50th anniversary! Preparations are well underway thanks to the hard work of Ms Dearing, Tolley and Miss Maria who are collecting artefacts from when the school first opened back in November 1972 until now. If you have any questions, please contact Tolley or Liza (Ms Dearing) for further information.

We hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Chloe, Ulus and Noah
