Teaching and Learning News

2020

We are already looking ahead to 2020 with excitement and anticipation.

Tomorrow students will have a step up into their new class morning where they will spend time with their new teacher and classmates in their next year’s learning space.

The transition morning is designed to provide students with a positive attitude and favourable impression about a new grade and class grouping. It reduces any stress and anxiety related to a new class group, teacher and location and allows all to go on holidays with a sense of comfort and excitement about the new school year.

Our 2020 school year begins with one to one student assessments on either Wednesday 29th January or Thursday 30th January. These assessments are an opportunity for teachers  to get to know your child better.

We are committed to giving each child the best possible start for their year of learning in 2020 and knowing where they are at the beginning of their journey is important for personalising our teaching.

Please log on to www.schoolinterviews.com.au and use code 26pb6 to book a 30 minute  appointment. You will need to present your child to their classroom 5 minutes before the appointment time.

Assessments take approximately 30 minutes. These are student only appointments and parents are not required to attend but we invite you to wait in the seated area provided until assessments are completed.

Please note this is not a full school day, students are not required to wear school uniform and students are only required to attend school for the duration of their assessment.

We suggest that you provide a water bottle for your child to bring with them.

Assessment for new Prep 2020 students will take place on Wednesday February 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th and March 4th.

Prep 2020 assessment appointments are booked using www.schoolinterviews.com.au using code seryg

Prep 2020 students will attend school on Thursday 30th January from 8:45am till 1pm. Friday 31st January is a School Closure Day.

All students begin school at 8:45am on Monday 3rd February 2020.
