Safe wishes to our families and friends

We would like to wish all of our families and friends a happy and healthy holiday.  We pray that St. Christopher, Patron Saint of Travellers, will watch over you and keep you safe.

Dear Saint Christopher,

protect me today in all my travels along the road’s way.

Give your warning sign if danger is near

so that I may stop while the path is clear.

Be at my window and direct me through

when the vision blurs from out of the blue.

Carry me safely to my destined place,

like you carried Christ in your close embrace.

Amen.

Praying the Rosary

October is the month of the Rosary. The Rosary is a traditional Catholic prayer reflecting on the lives of Jesus and Mary. Students will be praying the Rosary in class each day during the month of October.

On Friday 18th October students will be joining other children around the world praying the Rosary together at 9.00am. This is a part of the “One Million Children Praying” initiative of Catholics around the world.

Mission Month

October is World Mission Month.  Students will be learning about how they can help others in need. Please watch this space for further information in Term 4.

LidKids

Thank you to all of the people who have sent in lids for our Mini Vinnies project. Your response has been amazing!

To date we have 2,020 lids.

We smashed our goal for Term 3 and now we are looking to collect 5,000 by the end of Term 4!

WE CAN DO IT!!!

LidKids is a project helping children who  have been born without a hand, or lost a hand to illness or injury. Made out of plastic bottle lids, with a 3D printer, all of the plastic bottle lids combined are melted together to form a prosthetic hand. The lids that are suitable are the lids that say a 2 or a 4 on the bottom of the cap.

Please send in clean lids from milk, juice and soft drink bottles. We can make a difference!
