Dear Social Media,

Who was I before you labelled me?

Who was I before you controlled every aspect of my life and

infected my brain?

Who was I before you drained me of my happiness and only

brought me pain?

I’m in a vicious cycle where talent doesn’t talk but viral videos

scream,

I don’t want to live like this but then why am I constantly

addicted to posting a new pic,

My life has turned something you have to subscribe to new

trends quiet my anxiety,

These hate comments are not bruises on my skin, they cut

deep,

These dislikes are pulling me down like a sinking ship inch

by inch,

Social media is the sole reason to most problems,

Snapchat tells me to compare myself to others,

Instagram tells me to photo-shop my face,

But social media is wrong you are perfect the way you are,

After all you are 1 in 7 billion!
