Year 7 & 8 Cricket Teams both Geelong Region Champions

Year 7 then took on the Western Metro Regional Championships. Under trying conditions with what can only be described as a ‘bowlers paradise – green deck’ (literally grass), the girls narrowly went down in the GF to Strathmore Girls. The girls looked to be the better outfit on the day, but a few unlucky grubbers and the rub of the ball, it just didn’t go our way. The girls represented our school with aplomb and are looking to go one step further next year. I have no doubt with the talent we have, they will.

Our Year 8 team also made it to the WMR Championships, but the year 8 camp being scheduled at the same time, meant that Grovedale College (whom we beat in the GF at the Region Championships) went on to take out the Western Metro Finals in convincing fashion.

Looking forward to seeing both teams back on the park next year.
