(1) Advent Prayer
On Sunday 3 December, we begin the season of Advent. During this season we think about our need for Jesus in our lives and in our world, and we prepare to receive him at Christmas. We also think about the many ways God comes to be with us, and promises to be our light and our strength.
(2) Vinnies Christmas Hampers
Once again, the generosity of students and families of St Bede’s College will make a difference in the lives of many of our neighbours this Christmas. Over the past few weeks, each Homeroom and Tutor Group has created a hamper of lovely Christmas items that will be distributed to local families in need, in time for Christmas.
Vinnies representatives, Jim, Trevor and Bernadette, were overwhelmed by your generosity; not only was the quantity of donations great, but the quality of items was too.
We pray for those who minister to those in need, especially the members of the St Vincent de Paul Society. We ask God to sustain and bless them as they shine God’s love to those they serve. Amen.
