In the last two weeks St Bede’s College students competed in the ACC Junior Golf Tournament and the Year Golf Championship.

The ACC Junior Tournament was held at Northern Golf Club in fine conditions. Despite superb contributions from Matt Dunne (77) and Joel Harrod (81) the team just failed to win, being edged out by De la Salle. Newcomers to the team Steve Stefanakis and Lucas Jackson both showed signs that they will be assets to the team in future competitions.

Thirty-three students participated in the 2017 Year Level Championship at Rossdale Golf Club and all enjoyed the challenge, independent of their scores. Year 9 student Matt Dunne produced the round of the day, shooting a superb 77 in tricky conditions. The winners of each Year Level are shown below:

Congratulations to the following boys who will be representing St Bede’s College in Athletics in a few weeks:

They will be competing at an Athletics Australia event called the Zatopek School Relay Challenge at Lakeside Stadium in Albert Park on Thursday 14 December.  The team earned the right to represent St Bede’s College and the ACC by winning the Under 17 -  4 x 100m relay at the ACC Athletics Championship earlier this year. They will compete against the fastest schools in Victoria, so we wish them luck!
