Work Experience
Over the past four weeks, all students in Year 10 have undertaken a week of work experience. The feedback received from employers has been outstanding. The many reasons students participate in work experience are to develop employability skills, explore possible career options, understand employer expectations, and increase their self-understanding, maturity, independence and self-confidence.
Here is a breakdown of the industries for work experience placements.

I would like to thank Sherine Burl for her enthusiasm and hard work with administering our work experience program. Many students shared photos of their work placements and here is a small collection.
VTAC Presentation
On Tuesday 31 July, Year 12 St Bede’s and Kilbreda College students were treated to an extremely informative presentation by Suzanne Connelly who is the Director of Communications and Publishing Services for Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC).
Term three is a very busy time for our Year 12 students with making VTAC applications for their university and TAFE course preferences, and completing SEAS and scholarship applications where applicable. Over the coming weeks, I will be visiting the Year 12 students offering assistance with registering for their applications and running lunchtime sessions to assist this process.
College Careers Website
A reminder that our College Careers Website has an abundance of useful resources and information for both students and parents.
