PFA Report

Bunnings BBQ

The PFA would like to give a huge thank you to all the parents and friends who volunteered at Bunnings on Sunday to help us fundraise for the school.

We raised $1437 which is a fantastic result. We could not have done it without everyone’s assistance. Thank you also to everyone who dropped by to buy a sausage!

Scout Raffle

Scout Raffle tickets have been sent home with each family, and there are some great prizes to be won. Tickets are $2.00 each and the school will receive $1.50 for every ticket sold, which is an excellent incentive to sell lots of tickets!

Additional books are available from the front office. All money, ticket butts and unsold tickets are to be returned to the school by Friday 14th August.

Trivia Night

Tickets for the very first Lyndhurst Primary School Trivia Night are on sale until Wednesday 19th August, and we really need the school community to help us make the night a success.

The Trivia Night is to be held on Friday 28th August in the school gym, and is proudly supported by Raine & Horne Real Estate, along with many other local supporters.

The event will be a fun night with a door prize, auctions, games and raffles. Bring friends and family; come as individuals or get a team of 8 together.

Tickets are $20 per person. We would love to see as many people as possible attend this fantastic fundraiser, so please get your tickets soon!

Shopping Tour

The PFA Shopping Tour is booked for Saturday 17th October. We now have enough people attending to bring the cost down to $42.

We can bring the final cost down even further if we can get another 10 people to attend this fun day of shopping. Ask friends and family to enjoy the day and start your Christmas shopping. We are accepting last minute deposits, so please support us and place your $20 deposit at the school office as soon as possible.

Woolworths Earn & Learn

The Woolworths Earn & Learn program is a great way for Lyndhurst to earn valuable learning resources.

When anyone shops at Woolworths, they can collect stickers to place on sticker sheets that are provided by the store. One sticker is earned for every $10 spent.

Once you complete the sticker sheet, place them in the collection box at either the school office or Woolworths Marriott Waters. Please place your stickers in the box marked Lyndhurst Primary.

The school can choose resources across all learning areas, including Maths, English, Science, Art and Craft, Outdoor and Active, Music and more.

Stuck on You Labels

The school has an endless amount of unnamed lost property each week. Stuck on You helps to avoid lost property by creating amazing labels and tags for kids of all ages.

They offer Iron on Clothing Labels that can be personalised, as well as many other labels. The school is able to earn rewards from Stuck on You; all you need to do is enter the code LYNDHURSTPSVIC when you order. Go to www.stuckonyou.com.au for more details.

The Good Guys Cranbourne Cash Program

Lyndhurst Primary School is a part of The Good Guys Cranbourne Cash Program. If you purchase an item at The Good Guys Cranbourne store, advise the salesperson that you would like ‘Cranbourne Cash’ to be allocated to Lyndhurst Primary School.

$1 from every $25 spent goes back to the school. Mention this to friends and family, as the more people who allocate the ‘cash’ to the school when they make a purchase, the more funds we raise.

Coffee Barn Bistro & Bar Rewards Card

Keep your Coffee Barn Rewards card with you and present it whenever you purchase food/drinks at the local Coffee Barn at Marriott Waters.

5% of total purchases will be given back to the school. If anyone did not receive a Rewards Card, please see the office.

School Banking with Bendigo Bank every Friday

Bendigo Bank will collect bank books from the school every Friday. Students can bring in their banking each week, and books will be returned by the end of the day.

For further details, or to open an account with Bendigo Bank please contact 03 9799 0344, email marriottwatersmailbox@bendigoadelaide.com.au or visit the branch at Marriott Waters Shopping Centre to speak to any of the friendly staff.

Reminders

Fresh Fruit Fridays will continue this term, with the proud support of Woolworths Marriott Waters. Each class receives a container of freshly cut fruit to share. We are seeking parent helpers to cut up fruit. If you can help out every now and then, feel free to drop in to the staff room at 9.00 on a Friday morning. We would appreciate your assistance.

The Second Hand Uniform Stall will be running regularly, on the 1st Tuesday of every month. The next stall will be held on Tuesday 1st September from 8.30-9.00am and in the afternoon from 3.00-3.30 in the school gym. If anyone has any uniforms they would like to donate to the school, please hand them to the office. All clothes must be clean, without holes and able to be worn.

The next PFA meeting will be held on Thursday 15th October 2015, and we would love to see new parents join us then.

All parents, guardians, grandparents and friends are welcome to attend our meetings and join the PFA. If you cannot attend meetings, yet would like to participate in our fundraising activities, we would love to hear from you. Our email address is neilson.enza.e@edumail.vic.gov.au. Send us an emailor speak to the office staff who will put you in contact with a member of the committee.

We look forward to your support for the remainder of 2015.
