Year 12 University Camp

Year 12 students, Mr McIntyre, Mrs Gallacher and Mary-Ann Linehan travelled to Melbourne on Tuesday 18th and Wednesday 19th July to visit various universities giving students a feel for university environments. It was a very busy two days visiting six universities.

 

Day one: Victoria University-Footscray campus, RMIT in the city campus and Swinburne University-Hawthorn campus

 

Day two: Monash University- Clayton campus, Deakin University- Burwood campus and LaTrobe University Bundoora campus.

 

Students were given tours of campus facilities and accommodation along with important information about applying for courses and costs associated with living in Melbourne.

 

Each university discussed scholarships and Special Entry Access Schemes. It was lovely running into many former students at each university.

Fatima Ali – Going to year 12 camp and visiting different uni’s was an amazing experience as it provided us with lots of information and pathways.

Suleyman Baba- Being able to obtain very useful information about different universities and what they provide for the students was very helpful.

 

Applications for university courses open August 7th and close on September 28th 2017 - through VTAC.

Shepparton High School is hosting a public information session for VTAC ( Victorian Tertiary Admission Centre ) to inform parents and students of the application process.

 

Attending on the night will also be LaTrobe University, Partners in Training and Gotafe for parents and students to enquire about courses and pathways.
