Building Websites in Year 5:

This term in Digital Technologies the Year 5’s got the opportunity to build a website on a laptop or iPad about space and other things.

We got an opportunity to use Weebly, building the overall amount of fun the Year 5’s had while making the websites.

We needed to include text, videos, pictures, and a lot of good information if you wanted a really good mark.

Some students had quite a lot of problems like not being able to open Weebly and not being able to add text, videos or pictures. But most people did not have those problems.

But the work was fun but infuriating at same time because half of the classes had some troubles but most of the people liked it, so it was a mixed bag of fun and sadness.

In the end, all the students finished their website and gave information that is very helpful to a lot of people.

App Design in Year 5:

This semester in Digital Technologies the Year 5’s were given the opportunity to design an app on their iPad and computers.

We got to choose an idea for our app. In our app we had to include the following loading screen, description, the cost, category, rating, app icon, concept art and a sales pitch. We got to use Book Creator and Showbie to modify our app.

 At the end of website building we had to present our app to the class. They were all fantastic. Although we had a few difficulties along the way we still had a fun time in Digital Technologies.
