Year 6: Term Two Highlights

This term has been very busy for the Year 6 students. In English we have been refining out creative writing skills by learning all about different poetic devices and language features. After exploring a variety of poems and narratives we started experimenting with our own writing and collected our best pieces in a writing anthology. Have a look at one of Jessica’s poems below!

In Maths, we have been consolidating our understanding of statistics and data by creating a Family Feud game of our own. We will be presenting the games in the last week of term.

Here is us on our excursion to The Port of Melbourne where we went for Inquiry to learn more about trading in Australia. Check out the size of the ship in the background.
